Late Summer Sketching Workshop with Anna Ribo
Wednesday 30th September 2026
Join sketching teacher and garden designer Anna Ribo for an inspiring, nature focused drawing workshop. With over a decade of experience in planting design, horticulture, and teaching, Anna brings a refined, plant led approach to observing and sketching the natural world.
Set within the tranquil surroundings of Gravetye Manor, the workshop offers an opportunity to explore the warm colours of the garden as it moves from late summer into autumn, and practice simple techniques to capture flower form and character. The emphasis is on the enjoyment of looking closely and sketching with ease, with no prior drawing experience required.
Beginning in the Oak Gazebo, guests will work with pencil and fine liner before adding light watercolour washes to create expressive studies. Weather permitting, sketching will also take place in the gardens in their exuberant, late summer glory.
Gathering at 9.30am and finishing at approximately 3.30pm.
£165.00 per person, includes tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival, 2 course lunch, a glass of wine and the workshop.
Guests are asked to bring a hardback sketchbook (minimum 160gsm paper), a foldable chair and suitable footwear for walking in the garden, all other materials will be provided.
Please note that you will be sat at a shared table.
