From the Vineyard is our wine initiative, celebrating the finest examples of English winemaking.
This month, we are delighted to showcase Chapel Down Vineyard. Chapel Down is England’s leading wine producer, based in the heart of Kent’s “Garden of England,” where it crafts premium sparkling and still wines that showcase the very best of English terroir. With vineyards planted on chalk-rich soils and a focus on classic grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Bacchus, Chapel Down combines traditional winemaking techniques with modern innovation. Guided by a mission to change the way the world thinks about English wine, the brand is built on values of quality, ambition and sustainability.
Our Head Sommelier says:
‘I am delighted to introduce the December edition of our ‘From the Vineyard’ initiative, featuring the exceptional Kit’s Coty Blanc de Blancs 2019. This is a truly special wine, and one we are proud to share with our guests this month. Each glass offers vibrant notes of fresh lemon and green apple, beautifully balanced by delicate hints of brioche and a refined, creamy texture. It is a wine that embodies precision, elegance and the very best of English craftsmanship.’
A selection of other Chapel Down wines will also be available by the glass throughout the month. In addition, only during the month of December, we’ll be serving the Chapel Down Classic Cuvee with our afternoon teas, and crafting a unique cocktail featuring their exceptional wine.

● Competition prize consists of:
○ A Michelin-starred three-course dinner with wine for 2 people at Gravetye Manor with a bottle of Chapel Down Brut Reserve 2021 to take home (gifted by Chapel Down).
○ Wine tour and tasting voucher for two at Chapel Down.
● No cash or credit value can be given as an alternative to the prize. The prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable.
● No customisation, personalisation or splitting of the prize can be made.
● Entrants must be 18 or over and reside in the UK.
● The winner will be solely responsible for their own travel, alongside any other expenses incurred in connection with the prize.
● The winner will need to make their own way to and from the vineyard (TN30 7NG). Full location information can be found on their website.

● Dinner is three-courses with wine in Gravetye Manor’s Michelin starred restaurant, with a Chapel Down aperitif.
● Specific dietary requirements should be requested at the time of booking your meal.
● The winner can book their dinner at Gravetye Manor Sunday – Thursday.
● Tour and tasting redeemable between Jan-March 2026.
● The winner will receive an email from both Gravetye and Chapel Down to redeem their prizes.
