Watercolour Workshop with artist Hazel Soan

Join us in the spectacular gardens at Gravetye for a day guided by professional watercolour artist Hazel Soan. Enjoy the elegant serenity of the Manor whilst creating your own masterpiece in the heart of the enchanting and historic estate with the assistance of Hazel’s expertise.
Hazel Soan is known internationally for her fresh, vibrant watercolours. She exhibits and travels widely, and her collectors span the world. The author of many books on watercolour, she became a household name as one of the Art Experts on the television programme 'Watercolour Challenge'. Hazel has her own studio gallery in Fulham and, on occasion, offers masterclasses to share her passion and expertise. Gravetye itself is fortunate enough to display some of Hazel’s beautiful work.
All painting abilities are welcome. The group size will be kept small to ensure maximum attention from Hazel.
£220.00 per person, inclusive of a day’s workshop with Hazel and your painting to take home, morning coffee and pastries, an informal lunch, tea and cake during the afternoon and soft drinks throughout the day.
Participants need to bring their own painting equipment to this special event - a materials list will be provided as a guide.
Itinerary
9.30am Coffee and pastries will be served on arrival. Get to know Hazel and your fellow artists.
10.00am Hazel will begin the day with a short demo and will share her techniques for a successful watercolour painting.
11.00am You will begin your painting with the guidance and assistance of Hazel.
1.30pm An informal lunch with wine will be served.
2.30pm The workshop will continue after lunch, with tea and cake served during the afternoon.
5.00pm The day ends. If you are travelling from abroad or have a longer trip planned, we would be pleased to wrap up the painting and post it to your home.
