Orchards
Growing goodness
Our orchards are set in two acres of land and are made up of three generations of planting.
The oldest trees date back to Robinson’s day but most were lost in the 1987 storm.
In the late 80’s Mr Herbert planted many trees and in 2011, to preserve the life of the orchard for future generations, we planted 50 others.
These trees are on vigorous rootstocks and are trained as traditional open centre bushes.
All the fruit we grow is either used by our Head Chef in the restaurant or made into juice, which is served for breakfast. Delicious.
