Flower Garden

In full bloom

The flower garden terrace is situated at the back of the manor and is the first feature to greet you when entering the garden.

During Robinson’s life the flower garden was constantly changing as he played with his ideas of the mixed border.

Today we try and manage this space in a similarly dynamic and experimental manner.

In the spring the tulip display is very important. Then we use successional plantings of annuals and tender perennials, mixed with herbaceous perennials and shrubs to give a display of flower right up to the frosts.
