Garden Tour with Head Gardener Tom Coward followed by Lunch - SOLD OUT

    Thursday 25th May

May is probably the most glorious month in the garden and arguably a time when Gravetye is at its most beautiful. In the Flower Garden, sweeps of fox gloves, columbines and lupins should be taking over from the fading tulips and in the Kitchen Garden the first early potatoes should be ready to lift. It is however, the Wild Garden which really stands out at this time of year, with carpets of bulbs and wild flowers in the meadows. Also our famed handkerchief tree will be looking its best, and is testament to William Robinson, who planted it nearly 150 years ago. Tom will focus on the work involved in managing Robinson’s historic Wild Garden.

Arrival from 10.30am, with the tour starting at 10.50am and followed by lunch at 12.30pm

£75.00 per person, aperitif, 3 courses, drinks and tour inclusive.

Parts of the tour are over uneven ground and may be wet; please bring appropriate clothing and footwear.

    Hamilton Russell Wine Dinner

    Sunday 12th March

Hamilton Russell Vineyards – one of the most southerly wine Estates in Africa and one of the closest to the sea – are located in the beautiful, cool, maritime Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. The Estate specialises in producing highly individual, terroir driven Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which are widely regarded as the best in South Africa and among the best in the New World. We are delighted to welcome back Anthony Hamilton Russell and his wife Olive to Gravetye. Anthony took over the estate from his father in 1991 (eventually buying the property in 1994) and it was he that narrowed their range, committing to work only with grapes from their terroir. A strong believer in the importance of developing a clearer wine style identity for South Africa he will be showcasing their award-winning Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Ashbourne blend.

    Gathering at 7.30pm for 8.00pm

£115.00 per person, aperitif, 4 courses and wines inclusive.

    Lounge Suits.

Complete the experience and stay the night for a special Bed and Breakfast rate. From £250.00 based on two people sharing.
