The dress code for the restaurant at Gravetye Manor is smart casual. Smart jeans are acceptable and in the evening most men do tend to wear a jacket. There is a sense of occasion when dining at Gravetye, therefore do not be surprised if you are surrounded by diners in their Sunday best!

Private Dining in the gardens at Gravetye Manor

The gardens and grounds surrounding the manor are without doubt the jewel in our crown. It is with pleasure that we are therefore able to offer a variety of ‘outdoor’ dining options for small parties and private groups.

The Gazebo

Our oak gazebo is situated in the beautiful little garden here at Gravetye. Fantastic views down over the meadow to our lake can be enjoyed from this spot situated in front of the Manor. You will also enjoy use of our terrace area, just outside the sheltered gazebo. Available for 8-12 people, May to September.

The Summer House

The Summer house was built in 1902 by Ernest George who was a friend of William Robinson and a teacher of the architect Edwin Lutyens. It is situated at the end of the flower garden looking back towards the house with views over the valley and the lake. The two side walls are glazed and the front is open, giving a welcome shade from the sun and protection from the summer breeze. Available for 6 people, May to September.

For further information on availability, pricing and menus for our outdoor dining options, please contact our Events Team on 01342 810567 or email events@gravetyemanor.co.uk.

Menus

Gravetye Manor is open 365 days a year. Fortunately we get busy during very good weather and on weekends so we strongly recommend advance bookings for lunch and dinner.

Excellent stay. This was our 3rd visit to Gravetye Manor. Nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff, we felt like honoured guests. Any request was dealt with immediately and efficiently. We would like to commend the chef on the exceptional quality of his cuisine. We are looking forward to a return visit in the near future and have recommended it to our son and daughter-in-law.

From the moment of arrival in the car park and reception until departure, the warmth of hospitality and attention throughout could not have been bettered. The meal itself was a delight and the service attentive but not obtrusive. Especial thanks to the Chef and assistants.

The food we enjoyed in your restaurant was the best we have eaten for a long time, both in the UK and abroad. Your staff have just the right level between friendliness and efficiency. We wanted for nothing...

My thanks for yesterday. The day went perfectly and the arrangements were faultless, from being welcomed at the door to our eventual departure. The meals and wines were of the highest standard and augmented by the immaculate and completely professional service from your colleagues, who were never over-attentive but never far away, and always responsive. It is very difficult to add more than that to be honest.
