Glyndebourne Festival 2013 – world class operatic experiences to captivate and inspire
Excitement is definitely building towards the start of this year’s festival. On the bill this season are four acclaimed revivals, including Richard Jones’s 2009 production of Verdi’s Falstaff and Michael Grandage’s debut operatic production from 2010 of Britten’s Billy Budd, celebrating the centenaries of these two extraordinary composers. I am delighted to say that we have a pair of tickets to each of these operas on the following dates:
Falstaff - Sunday 26th May
Billy Budd - Monday 12th August
These tickets are only available with an overnight stay at Gravetye – the perfect combination! To book or for further information please contact our reception team on 01342 810567.

We we
re delighted to see the first steam train run along the Bluebell Railway to East Grinstead near Gravetye after an extension linking the line to the national network opened last month. The extension will be fully operational from 4th May.

Now the heritage line has a connection to the national railway, it is possible to drive a steam train anywhere on the network. Passengers will also be able to buy through tickets taking them across the country and along the steam railway on one fare.
