This is the first part of the garden that greets you when leaving the hotel from the bar, and always has the backdrop of stunning views across the valley. We manage it as intensive mixed borders, which are succession planted for as long a season as possible. In late summer the borders are a riot of colour with hundreds of carefully selected border plants, which combine to perform deep into the autumn. Salvia, Dahlia, Aster and Persicaria are just a few of the plants that make up our late summer displays. Once the frosts take the last of our blooms at the end of winter, we start looking ahead to the next season by planting bulbs for next spring.
